Health Professions Council sends out final reminders to speech and language therapy registrants
Around 1 in 5 speech and language therapists will be receiving final reminder notices today from the Health Professions Council.
Everyone who wishes to practise as a speech and language therapist must register with the regulatory body every two years. Signed and completed forms and payment need to arrive by the renewal deadline of 30th September. Those who pay be direct debit have an even more urgent deadline of 18th September.
The Council has also taken the step of writing to employers of those who have not yet sent in their renewal. It hopes by enlisting their support before the deadline to prevent registrants lapsing unnecessarily with all the disruption to services this can cause.
Therapists who have been selected for audit also need to return their completed forms by 30th September.
Further information is on the Health Professions Council website.
