SENDIST Regulations update, 28 July 2009, Birmingham
The next conference of the speech and language therapy Medico-Legal Special Interest Group will update delegates on the SENDIST Regulations.
The SENDIST Special Educational Needs Tribunals appeals system is available in England to parents who disagree with Local Education Authority provision for their child with special needs. Recent changes to the system have been controversial with some parents and professionals.
The conference is on 28 July from 9.30-4 at Anthony Collins Solicitors, 134 Edmund Street, Birmingham. Speakers are Barrister John Friel, Solicitors Inez Browne and Melinda Nettleton and Speech & Language Therapist Janet O'Keefe.
Further information is available from Janet, who is also Chair of the SIG.
