Speech and language therapist Kidge Burns describes a Brief form of supervision
Over 2008, Speech & Language Therapy in Practice ran a series of articles on supervision by Sam Simpson and Cathy Sparkes. Readers may be interested to know of an article by speech and language therapist Kidge Burns on one form of peer supervision.
Kidge wrote the book 'Focus on Solutions: A Health Professionals' Guide' and is a leading proponent of Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Her article 'Ten Minute Talk: using a solution focused approach in supervision' (alternatively known by colleagues as the 'Ten Minute Burn'!) is freely available here in the latest Solution News (Vol.3, Issue 3, December 2008).
