Communication Matters AAC Study Day 2009 dates announced
The Communication Matters AAC Study Day for 2009 - 'Guess What Happened Today!' - is about enabling children with complex communication needs to tell stories.
The presenters - Nicola Grove, Annalu Waller and Rolf Black - will discuss the role of story telling in language development. They will also suggest ways in which independent fictional and personal story telling can be facilitated, including for children who use high tech communication aids. Participants will also have the chance to think about how these strategies can be implemented with groups and in a classroom.
The study day is running in 3 locations - London (27 January), Manchester (28 January) and Edinburgh (3 February).
More details are here on the Communication Matters website.
