Afasic conference explores 'Growing up with a speech and language impairment'

Afasic Scotland is marking 40 years of the children and young people's charity with an anniversary conference.
Key speakers include Marysia Nash, the author of our Autumn 08 issue's 'My Top Resources', along with Amanda Kirby, James Law and Dr Michael Morton. The conference will consider the implications for young people with specific language impairment, developing practice after primary school, the mental health perspective, links between specific language impairment, behaviour and youth offending, developing resilience in families and the whole child perspective.
The conference is at Heriot Watt University on Thursday 6th November.
