Stammering highlighted in Parliament [return]
Early Day Motion calls for early stammering intervention

The British Stammering Association is urging anyone with an interest in stammering to ask their MP to sign an Early Day Motion on early intervention.
Kate Hoey's awareness-raising motion calls on the government in England and Wales to use the opportunity of the Bercow Review to set an early intervention policy. It says that this would "allow 9 out of 10 of those at risk of persistent stammering to talk fluently for the rest of their lives".
Early Day Motions are not debated but highlight areas of concern to the government. The more MPs who sign them, the more effective they are considered to be.
