Ray Michie, a long-serving vice-president of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists, has died

Baroness Michie of Gallanach, who received the honours of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists in 2006, has died.
The 74 year old Liberal Democrat peer was Area Speech Therapist for Argyll & Clyde Health Board when she entered politics in 1987. She served as RCSLT Vice-President from 1989-2000 then again from 2002, and is credited as raising the profile of speech and language therapy, particularly within the House of Lords.
