World Voice Day [return]
16th April sees celebration of healthy voices and vocal skills

The British Voice Association and the Voice Care Network UK are participating in World Voice Day to encourage people to appreciate the value of their voice, to develop it to its full potential and to recognise when to seek medical help.
The Voice Care Network is a collaboration of voice teachers and speech and language therapists with a focus on keeping voices healthy, while the British Voice Association helps those suffering from voice disorders and those who work with them.
Following an Ear, Nose and Throat evaluation, speech and language therapists can help people who have voice problems such as vocal nodules or polyps, contact ulcers, a paralysed vocal cord or persistent hoarseness due to muscle tension.
